Bao Bao 寶寶 

This has several meanings in Chinese, including "baby" or "treasure" (bǎo bǎo), "to hug" (bào bào)

We’re Bao Bao Studios. You may know us from our other love, Smile + Wave.

This little Bao Bao project began in 2025, not long after we welcomed our first baby / Bao Bao into the world.

Trying to dress her was a real eye opener.

We found shelves full of low-quality, fast-fashion fluff.

So we ended up dressing her in our 30-year-old hand-me-downs instead (parents hoarding finally paid off).

90’s fashion is where it’s at. So we’re off on a mission to bring you Bao Bao. Well designed childrenswear with a nod to the 90’s.
